Fifth Atarashi Naginata Seminar in Moscow
We hosted our fifth atarashi naginata seminar in Moscow, led by Daria Litunenko. Over three days, participants worked on kihon, advanced waza and keiko in bogu. The seminar concluded with successful gradings for our members. We thank Daria for her excellent instruction and all participants for their dedication.

Post-COVID Kendo Seminar with Takenouchi Shohei — Cancelled
We organised a two-day kendo seminar with Takenouchi Shohei, scheduled for 6–7 March. The event was a unique opportunity to train with a Japanese sensei after two years of closed borders. We thank our partners and everyone who supported the organisation.
Regrettably, the seminar was cancelled due to the Japanese government's travel ban following the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. Takenouchi sensei recorded a message expressing his gratitude and hope to visit once the situation allows. We understand the decision and respect the risks involved. Full refunds were processed for all participants.
Love and Peace — Our Statement against the War
We shared a statement reaffirming our commitment to the principles of kendo and naginata — the way of self-development, consciousness and the preservation of life (katsujin-ken), not taking life. We do not engage in politics. We remain true to the ideals of budo and the pursuit of peace.
Hirakawa Sensei Turns 81
Happy 81st birthday to Hirakawa Nobuo sensei. When asked about his age, he laughed and said he feels not 81 but 18 — a true testament to the spirit of kendo. His words continue to inspire us...
