COVID-19 Notification

The modern world was overtaken by the plague of the 21st century — the new coronavirus infection COVID-19. It spread so rapidly across every country. WHO officially declared a global pandemic. While the full extent of the virus and its duration remained unclear, it was evident that it spread easily from person to person and could prove fatal.
In response, countries around the world adopted restrictive measures. As Winston Churchill once said: "Disturbing times require desperate measures." Moscow, in particular, was one of the most proactive cities in combating the spread of the virus, implementing a series of legal acts restricting movement and gatherings.
These included the introduction of a heightened state of alert on 5 March, followed by numerous updates throughout the month, and further government decrees issued on 31 March. The situation evolved rapidly, and it became clear that extraordinary measures were necessary.
In light of these changes, we made a difficult but necessary decision: KAMINARIKAN DOJO TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED ALL SPORTS ACTIVITIES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. This was not only to comply with the law but also to protect the health of our members and their families.
We hoped that the situation would not last too long and that we would soon return to our regular training. In the meantime, we began exploring ways to maintain our kendo and naginata practice from home. We encouraged everyone to stay indoors, stay safe and stay tuned for updates.
